OnePlus has announced the rollout of a new software update for its OnePlus 12R. The new software update will improve performance, fingerprint unlocking, and overall stability. This update marks one of the initial releases for the OnePlus 12R globally, including the Indian market.
The latest update, identified as OxygenOS 14.0.0.500, is an incremental rollout specifically tailored for the higher mid-range OnePlus 12R. For global users, the update is being distributed under the version number CPH2609_14.0.0.500(EX01), while Indian users will receive the CPH2585_14.0.0.500(EX01) version, as detailed in OnePlus’ community post, according to a report by Android Central.
The changelog, available on the company’s community platform, outlines a series of system enhancements, notably incorporating the February 2024 Android security patch. Users can expect improvements in stability, performance, and the fingerprint unlocking experience, along with bug fixes addressing app crashes.
Additionally, the update brings improvements in network connection stability and broadens NFC compatibility. Noteworthy enhancements extend to the camera system, promising better stability and performance for an enhanced user experience.
The rollout of this firmware update follows an incremental approach, with a limited percentage of users initially receiving Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. A wider rollout is expected in the coming days. To facilitate feedback collection, OnePlus offers Indian users the option to dial *#8008# to report bugs, while others can utilize the community platform for submissions.
